Julia Chalene Newmar was born on August 16, 1933 in Los Angeles, California. Her father was a one-time professional football player, her mother was a star of the Follies of 1920. Film, stage and TV actress Julie Newmar played Catwoman in the 1960’s TV series Batman. She was also in the musical film Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
